Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 July 2026

This document sets out important legal and financial information regarding your upcoming appointment. Please review these terms carefully before completing your booking. Please note that you remain personally responsible for ensuring the payment of all fees incurred.

1. Consultation Fees

  • Initial Consultation: Up to £360.
  • Follow-up Consultation: Up to £275.

2. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Non-Attendance

  • Late Cancellation Policy: Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a clinic cancellation fee of up to £275 may be charged.
  • Non-Attendance: Failure to attend a booked appointment without prior notice will be treated as a late cancellation and may incur the same fee.
  • Online Booking Self-Pay Refunds: If you book as a self-paying patient via this online portal and subsequently request a cancellation, your refund will be processed minus a flat £20 administrative cancellation fee. This is a non-refundable charge retained to cover non-recoverable merchant card processing costs.
  • Changes by the Practice: In the rare event that your consultant needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available slot at no additional cost.

3. Additional Diagnostic Tests

Following your consultation, you may require certain diagnostic investigations (such as blood tests, urinalysis, or imaging like X-rays, MRI, or CT scans).

  • Hospital Fees: If these tests are performed and billed by the hospital/clinic itself, their fees are determined independently by the hospital and charged to you or your insurer separately.
  • Consultant Fees: If there are any specific professional fees that I charge to interpret or perform these tests, I will discuss and disclose those costs with you beforehand.

4. Correspondence & Report Fees

A separate fee may apply for the preparation of GP letters, insurance reports, or medico-legal reports requested outside of a standard consultation. Please contact us directly to discuss any such requirements.

5. Private Medical Insurance

I am a recognized provider with the following private medical insurers:

AXA PPP | Aviva | Bupa | Vitality Health

If you are using private health insurance, please contact your insurer prior to your consultation to confirm your outpatient cover, obtain a pre-authorization number, and check for any policy excesses or reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees. You remain fully liable for any fees or shortfalls not covered by your insurance policy.

6. Payment Methods

Payment is accepted by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. If you have any other payment requirements, please contact our secretary to discuss.

7. Statutory Disclosures & Quality Information

  • Financial Interests: In accordance with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regulations, I am legally obliged to inform you that I hold no financial interest in The London Clinic.
  • Quality of Care: You can compare independent, verified information regarding the quality of private healthcare treatment at this hospital and others by visiting the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) website at www.phin.org.uk.
